Córdoba Cluster

History

The cluster was founded in 2001 as a non profitable organization.  the historical context around its creation  can be reflected in the founding document, as follows: 

  • The existence of a  group of local innovative companies, well positioned at a national level, with their own technology development and an emerging presence in foreign markets.
  • Córdoba, benefiting from having  different educational and university institutions with a great potential  in technical expertise relevant to the sector.
  • The public policies to integrate Argentina to the world, to encourage foreign investment and a macroeconomic stability, to name a few, which during the decade of the 90s, contributed to the development of a context of advanced technology in the field of information
  • The importance of  leading foreign companies establishing in our country and investing on projects of local development for the future.
  • Having high qualified human resources in Córdoba
  • An emerging presence of services suppliers related to the field and specific technical support institutions 
  • A clear and committed vocation for business development and an entrepreneurial mindset that encourages all members of the Cluster.

Over the years, by contributing with its initiatives and projects, The Cluster has increased the competitiveness in the sector, has accompanied several public policies that today provide the technology companies with a wide variety of benefits and also has linked to different sectors of the economy in order to boost the Digital transformation and the 4.0 Industry. Thus, the associativity to other sectors and the Academia constitutes a successful strategy to foster innovation  and the development of products with a greater added value and a bigger exportable potential.

Today Córdoba represents one of the main Poles of Technology and Knowledge Economy in Argentina and Córdoba Cluster is its most influential representative.
